When your machine doesn’t start, everything stops
Supercapacitor starting solutions help trucks, machinery and heavy equipment get back to work quickly when batteries fail.
A starting problem isn’t just a battery problem. It’s lost operating time, labour, service calls and equipment sitting idle when it should be working. The real cost isn’t always the battery. It’s the machine not running.
Lost production
Equipment isn’t earning while it’s sitting idle.
Service call-outs
Getting assistance to remote machinery costs time and money.
Operator downtime
Operators and crews can be left waiting.
Portable or installed?
Choose a portable supercapacitor jump starter or a permanently installed supercapacitor starting system. The right one depends on how your equipment operates.

Portable supercapacitor jump starters
Take starting power to any machine. A portable, batteryless supercapacitor jump starter for trucks, earthmoving equipment, agricultural machinery and heavy diesel engines.
Best for
- No installation required
- Move between multiple machines
- Breakdown recovery
- Workshops and service vehicles
- Remote equipment
- Lower upfront investment

Installed supercapacitor starting systems
Permanent starting power, always ready. Permanently installed starting modules designed to improve starting reliability and reduce dependence on conventional starting batteries.
Best for
- Equipment with recurring starting problems
- Dedicated machinery
- Remote or critical equipment
- Charges from the vehicle electrical system
- Reducing dependence on starting batteries

Why supercapacitor starting technology?
Traditional starting systems depend heavily on batteries being charged and healthy. Supercapacitor starting takes a different approach, delivering the high current needed to crank large engines when starting power is required. For trucks, earthmoving equipment, agricultural machinery and industrial applications, that can mean faster recovery, less downtime and greater starting reliability.
Batteryless starting power
Supercapacitors store and release the high current required for engine starting without relying on an internal starting battery.
Built for heavy equipment
Designed for demanding diesel applications including trucks, earthmoving machinery, agricultural equipment and industrial vehicles.
Reduce downtime
Get equipment started faster and reduce the disruption caused by weak, discharged or unreliable starting batteries.
How supercapacitor starting works
Supercapacitors store electrical energy and release it extremely quickly, which suits the high current needed to crank large diesel engines. Unlike a conventional battery, a supercapacitor starting system is designed around rapid energy storage and high-current discharge rather than long-term energy storage.
01
Capture energy
The supercapacitors charge from an available electrical source and store the energy required for starting.
02
Deliver cranking power
When starting is required, the stored energy is released rapidly to provide high current to the starter motor.
03
Start the engine
The starter motor cranks the engine, helping get the vehicle or machine running and back to work.

| Lithium jump starters | Supercapacitor jump starters | Lead acid jump starters | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starting power | High to very high | Very high current delivery | High |
| Portability | Excellent — high power from a compact package | Very good — varies with unit size and application | From compact portable units to heavier commercial packs |
| Stored energy | Good | Low — designed primarily for high-power starting | Very high |
| Cranking capability | Strong — duration depends on unit size and application | Strong high-current cranking with rapid energy delivery | Very good — particularly for longer cranking periods |
| Recharge speed | Fast to moderate depending on charging system | Very fast | Generally slower |
| Storage / routine charging | Periodic charging recommended during storage | No routine charging required; can remain unused for extended periods with very little degradation | Regular charging recommended to maintain battery condition |
| Maintenance | Low | Low to maintenance-free | Higher — regular charging and battery care required |
| Portable accessory power | Very good on suitably equipped models | Limited — not primarily designed for stored accessory power | Excellent for longer-duration 12V-compatible loads |
| Typical applications | Cars, 4WDs, commercial vehicles, trucks, agriculture, machinery and workshops | Heavy trucks, machinery, agriculture, fleets, workshops and frequent starting applications | Small vehicles through to workshops, trucks, machinery and applications needing stored energy or longer cranking |
