Warranties & Returns Policy
Last updated: October 2026
Marxgold Investments Pty Ltd (ABN 32 104 901 751) trading as Jumpbooster (“Jumpbooster”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is committed to providing reliable products and fair warranty support.
This policy explains our voluntary product warranties, returns process and how warranty and repair claims are handled.
Our voluntary warranties are provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Consumer guarantee rights may continue beyond the stated period of a voluntary or manufacturer’s warranty depending on the nature, price, expected durability and circumstances of the product.
Nothing in this policy limits those rights.
30-DAY CHANGE-OF-MIND RETURNS
Jumpbooster offers a 30-day change-of-mind return policy for eligible unused products returned in their original packaging.
To qualify for a voluntary change-of-mind return, the product should:
- be returned within 30 days of purchase
- be unused and in resalable condition
- include the original packaging
- include all accessories, manuals and components originally supplied.
Please contact Jumpbooster before returning a product so we can provide return instructions.
Unless otherwise agreed, return freight for a change-of-mind return is the customer’s responsibility.
Change-of-mind conditions do not apply where a product is faulty, defective, unsafe, not as described or otherwise fails to comply with the Australian Consumer Law.
JUMPBOOSTER-BRANDED JUMP STARTER WARRANTY
Eligible Jumpbooster-branded jump starters imported and supplied by Marxgold Investments Pty Ltd trading as Jumpbooster are covered by our voluntary three-year warranty program.
The program consists of:
0–12 months — Full Warranty
12–24 months — 50% Pro-Rata Warranty
24–36 months — 75% Pro-Rata Warranty
These voluntary warranty benefits are additional to any rights and remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
0–12 MONTHS — FULL WARRANTY
Where an eligible Jumpbooster-branded jump starter develops a fault caused by a defect in materials or workmanship during the first 12 months from the original purchase date, Jumpbooster will, following assessment and approval of the warranty claim, repair or replace the product without charge.
Unless otherwise agreed, the customer is responsible for sending or delivering the product to Jumpbooster for assessment.
For an approved warranty repair or replacement, Jumpbooster will arrange return delivery of the repaired or replacement product to the customer.
12–24 MONTHS — 50% PRO-RATA WARRANTY
Where an eligible Jumpbooster-branded jump starter develops an approved warrantable fault between 12 and 24 months from the original purchase date:
- where repair is practical, the customer contributes 50% of the approved repair cost
- where replacement is required, the customer contributes 50% of the applicable replacement cost of the same or a reasonably equivalent product.
The customer is responsible for sending or delivering the product to Jumpbooster for assessment.
Jumpbooster will arrange return delivery following an approved repair or replacement.
No chargeable repair or replacement will proceed until the customer has been advised of the amount payable and has approved the proposed work.
24–36 MONTHS — 75% PRO-RATA WARRANTY
Where an eligible Jumpbooster-branded jump starter develops an approved warrantable fault between 24 and 36 months from the original purchase date:
- where repair is practical, the customer contributes 75% of the approved repair cost
- where replacement is required, the customer contributes 75% of the applicable replacement cost of the same or a reasonably equivalent product.
The customer is responsible for sending or delivering the product to Jumpbooster for assessment.
Jumpbooster will arrange return delivery following an approved repair or replacement.
No chargeable repair or replacement will proceed until the customer has been advised of the amount payable and has approved the proposed work.
AFTER THREE YEARS
Products outside the Jumpbooster voluntary three-year warranty period may still be assessed for repair or replacement.
Where appropriate, Jumpbooster may provide a quotation for:
- repair
- replacement
- replacement parts
- another practical solution.
Expiry of the voluntary three-year warranty does not automatically mean that rights under the Australian Consumer Law have expired.
JUMPBOOSTER-IMPORTED ACCESSORIES AND COMPONENTS
Non-powered accessories and components imported and supplied by Jumpbooster, including Anderson connectors, cables and similar hardware, are generally covered by a 12-month voluntary warranty against defects in materials or workmanship.
This voluntary warranty does not generally cover damage caused by:
- misuse or abuse
- incorrect installation
- excessive loading
- modification
- accidental or physical damage
- neglect
- normal wear and tear.
The 12-month voluntary warranty is additional to any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
THIRD-PARTY BRANDED PRODUCTS
Jumpbooster also sells products manufactured by third-party brands and sourced through Australian manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors.
These products, including products such as Schumacher battery chargers, are generally covered by the applicable manufacturer’s or supplier’s voluntary warranty.
Where appropriate, Jumpbooster may assist with or administer a warranty claim through the relevant Australian manufacturer, wholesaler or distributor.
However, customers are not required to deal only with the manufacturer or wholesaler where they have rights against Jumpbooster as the retailer under the Australian Consumer Law.
Manufacturer and supplier warranty arrangements operate in addition to applicable Australian Consumer Law rights.
WHAT OUR VOLUNTARY WARRANTIES COVER
Subject to the applicable product warranty, Jumpbooster voluntary warranties generally apply to product failure caused by defects in:
- materials
- components
- manufacture
- workmanship
when the product has been used normally and for its intended purpose.
A product may need to be inspected and tested before the cause of failure can be determined.
WHAT OUR VOLUNTARY WARRANTIES DO NOT GENERALLY COVER
Our voluntary warranties do not generally cover faults or damage caused by:
- misuse or abuse
- accidental or physical damage
- incorrect connection
- incorrect polarity where product protection does not prevent damage
- incorrect installation
- modification or unauthorised repair
- use outside the product’s stated specifications
- unsuitable operating conditions
- neglect or inadequate maintenance
- use of an unsuitable charger or charging method
- excessive loading
- normal wear and tear
- damage caused by external equipment, batteries, vehicles or electrical systems
- loss or theft
- cosmetic damage that does not affect normal operation.
An exclusion from a voluntary warranty does not exclude any separate rights the customer may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
WARRANTY ASSESSMENT
When a product is returned, Jumpbooster may inspect and test it to determine:
- whether a fault exists
- the nature of the fault
- the likely cause of the fault
- whether the fault is covered by the applicable voluntary warranty
- whether repair or replacement is appropriate.
We may request information such as:
- proof of purchase
- product model
- serial number
- description of the problem
- photographs or video
- information about the vehicle, battery or equipment
- details about how the product was being used when the problem occurred.
If assessment shows that the product is not faulty or that the issue is not covered by the voluntary warranty, we will advise the customer before carrying out any chargeable work.
Where an inspection or assessment charge may apply, the customer will be advised before that charge is incurred.
NON-WARRANTY REPAIRS AND DAMAGE
Where failure or damage is caused by misuse, accidental damage, neglect, incorrect operation or another cause that is not covered by the applicable voluntary warranty, Jumpbooster may offer a paid repair or replacement where practical.
The customer will be advised of:
- the fault found
- the proposed repair or replacement
- the applicable cost
- any relevant freight or other charges.
No chargeable repair or replacement will proceed until the customer has approved the quotation.
MAJOR AND MINOR FAILURES UNDER THE ACL
Our voluntary warranty assessment does not override the Australian Consumer Law.
Where a product has a major failure under the ACL, the consumer may be entitled to choose a refund or replacement and may also be entitled to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
For a minor failure, the business generally has the opportunity to provide an appropriate remedy, such as repair, within a reasonable time.
The remedy available will depend on the particular circumstances.
HOW TO MAKE A WARRANTY, RETURN OR REPAIR CLAIM
Please contact Jumpbooster before sending a product to us.
Providing information about the product and problem before returning it helps us determine the appropriate next step.
We may request:
- proof of purchase
- product model and serial number
- description of the issue
- photographs or video
- details about the application or equipment.
We may issue return instructions or a warranty/repair reference before the product is sent.
Products should be packaged appropriately to prevent damage during transport.
PROOF OF PURCHASE
Proof of purchase helps us determine the original purchase date and applicable warranty.
Acceptable evidence may include:
- tax invoice
- receipt
- online order confirmation
- reseller invoice
- another reasonable record demonstrating the purchase.
If the product was purchased through an authorised Jumpbooster reseller, provide the available purchase information and we will assist with the claim.
RETURN FREIGHT FOR WARRANTY CLAIMS
Unless otherwise agreed:
For Jumpbooster-branded jump starters:
- the customer is responsible for freight or delivery to Jumpbooster for assessment
- Jumpbooster will arrange return delivery following an approved warranty repair or replacement.
Different arrangements may apply to third-party branded products depending on the manufacturer’s or supplier’s warranty process.
Nothing in this section limits any freight or reimbursement rights a customer may have under the Australian Consumer Law where applicable.
REPLACEMENT PRODUCTS
Where replacement is approved, Jumpbooster may provide:
- the same product, or
- where the original product is no longer reasonably available, a product with reasonably comparable specifications, capability and functionality.
Any rights applying to the replacement product under Australian law remain unaffected.
REFUNDS
Refunds will be provided where required by the Australian Consumer Law or where otherwise agreed by Jumpbooster.
Refunds will generally be made using the original payment method where reasonably practical.
Change-of-mind refunds remain subject to the voluntary change-of-mind conditions set out in this policy.

Jumpbooster may retain reasonable records relating to warranty, repair and return matters, including:
- product information
- serial numbers
- test results
- assessment notes
- photographs or videos
- repair information
- quotations
- customer approvals
- correspondence.
Personal information associated with these records is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
